This Website, SafeVoterNC.org (“we,” “us,” “our”), is operated by the North Carolina Black Alliance, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Raleigh, North Carolina, addresses policy and economic issues to enhance black communities by developing and promoting systemic policy change.

DATA TRACKING

At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy policy.
DATA RETENTION
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than 2 years.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information. If this is not possible, we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

DONATIONS
We use a third-party service provider, ActBlue, to process your donations. If you wish to donate using the Website, you will be directed to a webpage that ActBlue or its service providers host). Any personal information you provide through the donation page will be collected by ActBlue rather than by us and subject to ActBlue’s privacy policy rather than this Privacy Policy. Please note that this policy does not address the collection and use of information through the donation page or the privacy or information practices of ActBlue. We have no control over, and shall not be responsible for, ActBlue’s use of information collected through the donation page.
USE OF SITE BY MINORS
The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen, and we request that these individuals do not provide Personal Information through the Site.
JURISDICTIONAL ISSUES
The Site is controlled and operated by us from the United States and is not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States.

The Voter Safety + Protection campaign was launched in 2020 in partnership with Disability Rights North Carolina and Equality North Carolina to provide credible election information, PPE, and voter resources for North Carolina voters.
