Student IDs in Elections

Students and government employees who have a driver’s license or another type of acceptable ID may use those to vote. If their school or employee ID is listed in the table on the NCSBOE website, they may use that instead. The student and employee identification cards shown in the table are approved for use as photo identification for voting through December 31, 2026, and are valid statewide.
